DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Transborder Specialist at DGF Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating both import and export road freight operations across the Canada–U.S.–Mexico corridor. You will work directly with customers, carriers, border agencies, and internal teams to ensure efficient handling of domestic and cross-border shipments. This role ensures compliance with transportation regulations, timely delivery of goods, and exceptional customer service.

Main tasks & Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all cross-border (US/Canada/Mexico) import and export operations from booking to final delivery.
  • Liaise with carriers, vendors, brokers, and border partners to secure capacity and monitor shipments.
  • Prepare, review, and process required transborder documentation, including bills of lading and customs documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian, U.S., and Mexican transportation and customs regulations.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and proactively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers and border authorities to ensure successful and timely clearance.
  • Resolve operational issues, service failures, or transportation disruptions efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate shipment data in internal systems and ensure documentation completeness.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, customer service, and product teams to ensure strong customer experience.
  • Stay current on transborder regulations, industry changes, and best practices.

Minimum Requirements (Education, experience and skills):

  • High school diploma required; additional education in logistics or supply chain is an asset.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in road freight, cross-border transportation, or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and Mexico customs requirements and transborder processes.
  • Understanding of LTL/FTL, bond movements, carrier networks, and cross-border operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with logistics systems is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to handle operational exceptions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: CAD $47,000 – $65,000 base salary + 7% Bonus + full benefits.
