Northpoint Commercial Finance offers businesses across North America personal, flexible financing options such as inventory finance, equipment finance and asset-based lending to support their business growth needs.
This position will be focused on Equipment Finance and Lease Financing with Northpoint Commercial Finance in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Specialize in handling Transportation and Construction customers and contacting delinquent accounts
- Analyze payment problems and work with customers to identify and implement solutions within company policies
- Monitor both inbound collection calls, and shared collection email box
- Meet specific targets related to individual collection worklists
- Determine when accounts require escalated review based on payment patterns
- Maintain accurate customer files.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners
- Coordinate with various departments and external partners for problem resolution
- Identification and realization of opportunities for process optimization and automation
- Seek out industry trends and organizational knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions
- Create and maintain documents, diagrams and process maps for operational processes; establish and maintain user and training guides with written content
- Review compliance and regulatory requirements
- Provide training on best practices and provide subject matter guidance to team members
- Perform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job
Qualifications
Understanding and knowledge of the Transportation and Construction landscapeUnderstanding of collections and repossession legal requirements and best practicesBilingual(French / English) is an assetProven track record of meeting collections targets while maintaining customer focusBA is preferred combined with 5+ years of commercial collections experience with at least 2+ of those years handling Transportation and Construction accountsMicrosoft Word, Excel, Outlook experienceAbility to make decisions within established guidelinesOrganized, efficient, knowledgeable, accurate and professionalAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyProblem analysis and problem-solving abilityAbility to effectively multitask and manage competing priorities to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and documentation skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborate with others in cross-functional settingsInnovative thinking yielding creative solutions and alternativesHighly inquisitive by nature, with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detailsAbility to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problemsProfessional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matterswith internal and external parties in both languages.What Laurentian Bank has to offer you
Yearly salary : $55,000 to $65,000

The final base salary will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience, and may be enhanced with performance-based incentives, pension contributions, and benefits.
