Drafting Job Details &Responsibilities Work with specifications and scope of work. Interpret architectural designs / sketches & recommend design changes. Create detailed Fabrication & Shop Drawings utilizing standard techniques and internal processes. Modelling parametric curtainwall families in Revit Generating Material Take-offs and Schedules as required Understanding standard building science principles Generating Fabrication drawings, Models, Installation drawings Checking completed work for accuracy of details Maintaining files and records Provide work direction to external suppliers / contractors in a professional manner. Working closely with the installation team and shop Prepare RFI's and Shop Instructions Other duties as required. Drafting Skill Set and Qualifications Minimum College Diploma in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or related fields Minimum 3 years of design / drafting experience in the curtain wall industry Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with Inventor will be an asset. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite including : (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to independently oversee projects drawing lifecycles. Passion for quality, compliance to standards, and continual improvement. Able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Able to exercise initiative resolving conflicts and in adapting and applying procedures to address unusual problem situations. Familiarity with document management concepts and practices. Knowledge of working with Bluebeam and Recap will be considered an asset.
