Description

Mission:
As a member of the Brockville Quality team reporting to the Quality Manager in the contract manufacture business of traction motors, the Quality Technician is responsible for performing incoming inspections, in process inspections and final inspections to ensure compliance of material and processes with our customers and internal quality requirements. The role supports daily operations in collaboration with the following departments: Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials.


Outcomes:

• Incoming, in-process and final inspection: Daily inspect and test products at various stages of production or delivery. Verify that products meet specified quality standards, tolerances, and performance criteria.
• Control of non-conforming product: Document and report defects, deviations, or non-conformities. Maintain 0 >45 days overdue NCRs.
• Calibration Control: Calibration instruments 0 overdue.
• Customer satisfaction: Meet 100% customer satisfaction on final inspection product quality.


Role Competencies:

• Ability to measure using equipment as calipers: perform dimensional, material and visual inspections and accept/reject criteria
• Drawing proficiency: Read and interpret blue prints
• Attention to detail: strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Auditing: Conduct manufacturing line audits as per schedule.
• Communication skills: Effective communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Improvements: Report risks and opportunities for improvement related to duties.

4pm - 12:30am
