Job Description

Pre- Season / Post Season

Assist Sales Manager in developing a sales plan that aligns with incoming fruit
Order and manage the cardboard inventory and packaging supplies
Assist in interview process for plant staffing
Re-design and Implement CB picker system
Supervisor orchard planting operations and irrigation installation

Harvest Season

Sales order / Inventory management

Purchase packing supplies

Ensure cold chain of transported fruit is maintained

Liaise with the Packing Plant Manager to receive fruit and with the orchard managers to dispatch fruit

Collaborate with Sales Manager, Plant Manager and other managers to optimize processes

Resolve issues regarding shipments

Cross check Sales list with packing list to ensure accuracy of shipments is maintained

Create and manage the cherry inventory system ensuring that incoming fruit has an order assigned to it.

Manage the shipping cooler, box filling, box making and lidding departments to ensure packaging and product match with sales order.

Maintain farm packing equipment

Develop and keep production records

Qualifications

3-5 Years experience with perishable product

3-5 years experience as a production line supervisor

2 years experience in Sales order management of a perishable product

2 years experience Procurement management

Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment

This is a farming environment and days off may be extremely limited during our picking season (July / August)

Hourly pay rate negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
