As a

Senior Land Development Project Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex residential and commercial / industrial developments. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, guiding projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and built to the highest standards. If you are a proactive leader with a passion for building vibrant, sustainable communities, this role offers a chance to leave a lasting mark on the Guelph region and beyond.

Oversee the full lifecycle of land development projects, ensuring that each phase is completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure project alignment and success.

Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' expectations.

Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, and structural teams to ensure integrated solutions throughout the project.

Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and industry standards.

Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that quality control is maintained.

Establish and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.

Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of land development project management, including residential and / or ICI projects.

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Expertise in project management, cost estimation, scheduling, and contractor oversight.

Solid knowledge of grading, servicing, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.

Valid driver’s license.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation

PMP certification is an asset

Physical and environmental requirements for this position are available upon request.
