Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee all finance and accounting activities related to investments, properties, and developments.
Prepare annual budgets, timely financial statements, variance analyses, and internal management reports for several legal entities.
Oversee and manage a small team of property accountants.
Manage complex cash flow, AP/AR, and all banking activities for the entire portfolio.
Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance.
Improve and document accounting processes; support audits and compliance efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
6+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting in a real estate environment
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
CPA designation required
People leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills
Experience using Yardi, and ability to quickly learn new systems/software
Advanced Excel skills
High level of organization and detail orientation
Self-motivated and hands-on, enjoys being involved in the numbers and operations
