Brandt is currently seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Whitby Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, buses, and coaches in a shop environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble and repair the on road equipment efficiently and effectively
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely
- Use related instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
- Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time spent
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
- Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements
- Road test equipment and verify repairs as required
- Other duties as required

Required Skills
- Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
- Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
- Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- A commitment to high quality customer service
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
- Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required
- Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
- Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
- Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
