Northpoint Commercial Finance offers businesses across North America personal, flexible financing options such as inventory finance, equipment finance and asset-based lending to support their business growth needs.

This position will be focused on Equipment Finance and Lease Financing with Northpoint Commercial Finance in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of leased/financed equipment to determine their current market value, considering factors such as condition, brand, model, age, technological relevance, and market demand
  • Stay updated on market trends, demand fluctuations, and pricing dynamics in the equipment leasing industry
  • Analyze secondary and resale markets to make informed decisions on when and where to sell assets for maximum returns
  • Identify opportunities to exploit market trends and capitalize on emerging demand for specific equipment types
  • Provide insights on cost-efficient repossession and relocation strategies to maximize profitability and monitor the effectiveness of various strategies and adapt approaches based on performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners
  • Coordinate with various departments and external partners for problem resolution
  • Identification and realization of opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Seek out industry trends and organizational knowledge to understand alternative approaches/solutions
  • Create and maintain documents, diagrams and process maps for operational processes; establish and maintain user and training guides with written content
  • Review compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Provide training on best practices and provide subject matter guidance to team members
  • Perform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job

Qualifications

  • Understanding of collections and repossession legal requirements and best practices;
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset;
  • Proficiency in asset valuation methodologies, industry standards, and market analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends
  • Proficient in asset value modeling, cost analysis, and market research tools
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of optimizing asset value and return on investment
  • Undergraduate degree is preferred combined with 3+ years of equipment asset management experience
  • Ability to effectively multitask and manage competing priorities to meet established deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with others in cross-functional settings
  • Innovative thinking yielding creative solutions and alternatives
  • Highly inquisitive by nature, with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for details
  • Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to make decisions within established guidelines
  • Organized, efficient, knowledgeable, accurate and professional
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving ability.

Yearly salary: $55,000 to $65,000
