Scope of the Position
The Operations Support Specialist supports Robertson Electric’s Job Management (JM) platform across all 19 locations. This role ensures consistent usage of JM and Eclipse/Solar, provides training to Project Managers and operational staff, and supports branches with workflow accuracy, troubleshooting, and process alignment. The position is the primary point of contact for JM‑ and Eclipse/Solar‑related inquiries and plays a key role in improving operational efficiency.
Major Responsibilities
- Act as the primary support contact for JM and Eclipse/Solar, including troubleshooting, coordinating with IT, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting updates, testing, and documentation.
- Train Project Managers, Supervisors, and new hires on JM and Eclipse/Solar by developing training materials and delivering virtual and in‑person sessions, along with ongoing user support.
- Support all branches with job setup, costing, scheduling, reporting, rebates processing, and workflow alignment, while monitoring system usage to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with branch leadership to ensure consistent operational practices across all locations.
- Generate system reports, identify trends or issue, and correct data inconsistencies across branches.
Skills & Qualifications
- Post‑secondary education in Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in operations support, project coordination, or system administration.
- Experience in electrical, construction, or distribution industries is an asset.
- Strong understanding of job or project management systems, including Eclipse/Solar.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to learn and support new software quickly.
- Strong communication and training abilities.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to support multiple branches and manage competing priorities.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a collaborative approach.
