We are looking for an Associate to join our Claims team in our Calgary office!
As a member of our Claims division, you will support the claims team in processing and resolving claims. You will act as a liaison between insurers, lawyers, underwriters, and adjusters, ensuring smooth communication and efficient settlement of claims.

Your day as a Claims Associate
- Sets up new claims by finding the appropriate policy and preparing Loss Notice, opens claim with appropriate subscribers and reports claim within one (1) hour of receipt.
- Runs Loss History Experiences for Producers and Marketing, as required.
- Corresponds/communicates with Insured regarding claims status.
- Corresponds/communicates with adjusters and examiners regarding status of claims and reserves.
- Accurately updates pertinent information in our system.
- Drafts letters to Insured’s and sends cheques.
- Maintains filing system.
- Ensures all claims information is distributed to the appropriate people.
- Organizes new claims in numerical and alphabetical order.
- Prepares monthly bordereaux when appropriate.
- Prepares mail as needed.
Our ideal candidate
- Minimum 2 years industry related experience.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well independently, as part of a team and with others throughout the organization.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel.
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Customer focused and service oriented.
- Attention to detail and precision essential.
- Able and willing to work under pressure when needed.
