Job description

About Supreme International

Supreme International is a leading North American manufacturer of feed mixers for the dairy and livestock industry. For more than 75 years, our equipment has helped producers improve herd nutrition, operational efficiency, and overall farm productivity.

Proudly headquartered in Alberta, Canada, we design, engineer, and build high-performance mixers known for durability, consistency, and innovation. Our products are trusted by farms of all sizes across Canada, the United States, and international markets.

Supreme is a growing, entrepreneurial organization with a strong commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement. As we scale toward our next stage of growth, we are building a modern, data-driven, and people-focused company. We believe that our team members are the key to our long-term success, and we invest in developing talent, strengthening culture, and improving the employee experience across all departments.

Make Safety Matter, Every Single Day

At Supreme International, safety isn’t a binder on a shelf, it’s how we protect our people, our customers, and our future. We’re looking for a Health & Safety Specialist who is passionate about creating a workplace where everyone goes home safe, every shift.

If you love being on the floor, spotting risks before they become incidents, and turning rules into real-world protection, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

You will be the driving force behind our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs, ensuring they are not only compliant but actually effective.

You’ll

  • Be the go-to expert for all things health & safety
  • Keep our HSE systems current, compliant, and continuously improving
  • Actively identify risks through site walks, inspections, and audits
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, finding root causes and real solutions
  • Support WCB claims and return-to-work programs
  • Lead training, orientations, and ongoing safety education
  • Keep records, certifications, and documentation audit-ready
  • Maintain safety boards, first aid programs, PPE compliance, and site readiness
  • Co-lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
  • Build and deliver engaging safety talks and presentations
  • Report monthly on safety performance, trends, and improvements

This role is hands-on, visible, and impactful, you won’t be stuck behind a desk while safety happens somewhere else.

What You Bring

You know how to balance compliance with common sense and can build trust with people at every level of the organization.

Education & Certifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Health & Safety Diploma or Degree (asset)
  • Recognized provincial or federal safety certification (asset)
  • Experience

  • 3+ years in a Health & Safety role
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is a strong asset
  • Technical Skills

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)
  • Deep knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices
  • Who You Are

You’re not just checking boxes, you actually care.

    You Are

  • A strong problem solver who thinks critically and acts decisively
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-driven
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments
  • A confident communicator who can influence and educate
  • Professional, trustworthy, and proactive
  • Someone who can work independently and still be a strong team player
  • Working Environment

You’ll spend time both in the office and out on the floor. This role includes exposure to :

  • Manufacturing equipment and moving machinery
  • Heat, dust, and industrial conditions
  • You’ll be expected to move throughout the facility, conduct inspections, and engage directly with employees.

    Why You’ll Love Working Here

At Supreme International, you’ll be part of a team that takes safety seriously and believes in continuous improvement. You’ll have the authority, support, and visibility to make real improvements, not just write policies that collect dust.

You won’t just manage safety, you’ll help shape the culture.
