Job description

IS2 is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Parts Supervisor to lead a busy parts department within the heavy-duty truck or automotive industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in parts operations, inventory management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily parts department operations and ensure excellent customer service
  • Lead, coach, and develop the parts team
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and stock replenishment
  • Work closely with suppliers and negotiate pricing when required
  • Partner with the service department to ensure timely parts fulfillment
  • Monitor inventory, pricing, and margins to maximize profitability
  • Process warranty claims, returns, and core credits
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and department performance
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a heavy-duty truck, heavy equipment, or automotive parts environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain processes
  • Experience managing pricing, margins, and inventory performance
  • Familiarity with freight, warranty, and core return processes
  • Proficient with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
