• Job Description :
• Job Responsibilities :
• Maintain and repair Caterpillar Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment and Expanded Mining Equipment
• Component rebuild and repair
• Some Manufacturing
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Occasional work at heights and confined spaces
• Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting / pushing of up to 45 pounds without assistance
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
• Qualifications
• Journeyperson Welder Ticket with Interprovincial Certification
• Valid driver’s license (drivers abstract as a condition of offer)
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong welding aptitude : vertical, flat, and overhead test for both SMAW and FCAW, machining experience is beneficial
• Strong line boring experience will be considered an assetAny future shift changes will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement
• Important Details
• This position is based out of Cranbrook, BC on a 4x3 compressed shift
• Both Shop and Field work will be required
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
