Senior Dealer Relations Agent

Job Description

What is the opportunity? In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a concise operation between RBC Investor Services clients and the Broker / Dealer and Intermediary community.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing and acting as a contact for external Brokers, Dealers or Intermediaries and to investigate and respond to inquiries for trade processing and settlement. What will you do?

• Investigate and respond to inquiries received by phone, email, and workflow tools
• Maintenance of Dealer, Intermediary, advisor setup on our record keeping system.
• Investigate and action Fundserv file and trade issues that are encountered across all clients.
• Commission and trailer fee reconciliation
• To develop and maintain relationships to ensure consistent quality of service delivery to our clients and partners by continuous communication and touchpoint meetings.
• Educate dealers on new industry standards and requirements.
• Represent Dealer Relations in operational meetings and client launches.
• Creation and distribution of Fund Information Sheets
• Communicate, monitor and disseminate information using Fundserv’s Fund Company Bulletin automatic mailing service as well as targeted emails.
• Act as a mentor and assist in problem resolution for team members.
• Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes to help increase overall efficiency and reduce risk.
• Communicate and any issues encountered to the senior manager of the department.
• Provide any reporting, such as dealer audits, required

What do you need to succeed? Must-have

• 4+ years of relevant work experience within the financial industry
• Mutual Fund Back Office or Dealer Back office Operational experience
• Exceptional knowledge in Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, and Segregated Funds
• Strong communication and client relation skills
• Strong, effective organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong knowledge of Investment fund Industry and Fundserv distribution network
