What is the opportunity? In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a concise operation between RBC Investor Services clients and the Broker / Dealer and Intermediary community.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and acting as a contact for external Brokers, Dealers or Intermediaries and to investigate and respond to inquiries for trade processing and settlement. What will you do?
- Investigate and respond to inquiries received by phone, email, and workflow tools
- Maintenance of Dealer, Intermediary, advisor setup on our record keeping system.
- Investigate and action Fundserv file and trade issues that are encountered across all clients.
- Commission and trailer fee reconciliation
- To develop and maintain relationships to ensure consistent quality of service delivery to our clients and partners by continuous communication and touchpoint meetings.
- Educate dealers on new industry standards and requirements.
- Represent Dealer Relations in operational meetings and client launches.
- Creation and distribution of Fund Information Sheets
- Communicate, monitor and disseminate information using Fundserv’s Fund Company Bulletin automatic mailing service as well as targeted emails.
- Act as a mentor and assist in problem resolution for team members.
- Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes to help increase overall efficiency and reduce risk.
- Communicate and any issues encountered to the senior manager of the department.
- Provide any reporting, such as dealer audits, required
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
- 4+ years of relevant work experience within the financial industry
- Mutual Fund Back Office or Dealer Back office Operational experience
- Exceptional knowledge in Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, and Segregated Funds
- Strong communication and client relation skills
- Strong, effective organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong knowledge of Investment fund Industry and Fundserv distribution network
