ROLE SUMMARY :
The Director of Rooms Operations is responsible for creating ridiculously personal experiences for all hotel guests. In collaboration with the Front Office and Housekeeping leadership teams, you’ll provide support for the staff by making sure all brand standards are met, employees are developed properly, and ensuring company culture and programs are supported and encouraged.
ACTIVITIES :
The duties and responsibilities for the Director of Rooms Operations include, but are not limited to :
- A member of the Executive Committee, responsible for development and execution of the Hotel’s strategic plans.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team, including Manager on Duty responsibilities, and supporting management of the Housekeeping team.
- Assist General Manager in directing and leading all hotel operations ensuring a high level of guest service.
- Prepare the annual budgets and monthly forecasts for all areas overseen.
- Support managing the financial expenses of hotel operations, ensuring all expenses stay within budget.
- Ensure revenue and inventory management practices are in place to maximize revenues for the Hotel.
- Identify capital needs and support maintenance of the overall condition of the hotel.
- Build and innovate guest satisfaction programs for housekeeping and front desk. Assist with reservations and guest inquiries when needed.
- Review team schedules and lead all aspects of hotel departments such as Security and Reservations as well as monitor and maintain property interfaces.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of high performing hotel department managers.
- Work closely with Restaurant, Catering, Sales, and Banquet to ensure guest needs are met.
- Liaison with affiliate partners, including third party operators, PR agencies, and other operational vendors.
- Host Social Hour and provide wine services, hosting approximately twice per month.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Promote the safety and well-being of guests and co-workers by having thorough knowledge of the Hotel’s crisis and emergency procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Hotel General Manager.
