THE ROLE :
The Regional Revenue Manager (RRM) is responsible for optimizing revenue through directly monitoring inventory and hotel pricing strategies via GDS, CRS, brand, and third-party internet sites for each hotel.
The RRM is directly responsible for making the necessary changes for each hotel in terms of Revenue Management. The incumbent will work with and receive guidance from the Vice President, Revenue Optimization and Strategies.
The RRM will partner with property General Managers and the Regional Sales Management team to strategically position the properties in their respective markets and to maximize revenue and in achieving annual revenue targets.
ACTIVITIES :
- Directly responsible for rate positioning using various tools to remain competitive within the market.
- Directly responsible for controlling room inventory, availability, and overselling limits of the hotels on a daily basis in efforts to maximize all hotels occupancy and revenue.
- Directly managing online Rooms content in all websites that sell or market.
- Gather, evaluate, and analyze statistical data with the intention of implementing revenue opportunities.
- Implement pricing strategies and load data into the PMS, Hotel Booking Engine, GDS, CRS, brand, third-party internet sites, and any other appropriate channels.
- Review and analyze each property performance using various reports, and evaluate and action immediately where changes can be made to achieve desired revenue.
- Stay current on trends in revenue management field and exchange information with brand partners, and market managers.
- Responsible for Forecasting Accuracy (achieve + / - 3.5% versus actual room revenue).
- Prepare revenue management reports, as required.
- Complete other duties and projects, as assigned by the Vice President, Revenue Optimization & Strategies.
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING :
- Academic / Education Requirements :
- University Degree in Business or Marketing Program graduate, or equivalent, an asset.
- Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements :
- Minimum three (3) years in similar Senior Revenue Management capacity.
- Experience in Hotel industry with knowledge of competitive markets & best practices considered a definite asset.
- ChoiceMax / Rate Center application and front office management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful revenue strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop data-driven analyses.
- Highly proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
- Ability to travel as required.
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral & written communication and strong interpersonal skills; innovative, resourceful and results oriented.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Ability to deal with all levels of management and staff in a professional manner.
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skill set, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to exercise extreme discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
- Highly adept customer service orientation.

- Frequent mental and visual concentration during computer work, for accuracy in data entry and editing.
- Continuously listening and mental attentiveness in dealing with customer or public queries, and Manager’s requirements.
- Frequent mental effort is required in multi-tasking and handling interruptions that require constant refocusing.
Physical Effort required to perform the job :
- Continuously requires manual dexterity speed and hand / eye coordination for daily work at a computer.
- Periodic lifting of computer hardware and administrative materials such as laptops, physical files, binders, etc.
Responsibility for Resources :
- Responsible for work area.
- Responsible for confidential Revenue Management documents, equipment, and protocols related to the company.
Working Conditions
- Governed by concurrent and dynamic deadlines, despite conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions.
- Intermittent exposure to co-workers / clients; occasional handling of queries and calls from properties.
- Continuously working at a home office workstation as approved by the Manager.
- Continuously working in a climate-controlled home office.
- Occasionally required to travel to properties under the direction of the Vice President, Revenue Optimization & Strategies and / or Senior Vice President of Operations.
- Frequent meetings (in-person, virtual) to discuss various Revenue Management subject matter.
- Regular working hours and frequently required to work extra hours, as required.
- Flexible working hours, as required.
