About Doormat

Join a fast growing venture-backed startup as a Client Success Manager! Doormat is on a mission to make real estate law simple and we need your help to do it. While a real estate lawyer is required for the large majority of real estate transactions in Canada, the process has seen very little innovation, leaving a client experience that doesn’t match today's expectations. We provide real estate legal services from end-to-end, leveraging a proprietary digital solution that brings transparency and simplicity, alongside an experienced legal team.

About the role

As a Client Success Manager (CSM) at Doormat, you will be responsible for managing the non-legal aspects of our client engagements all the way from initial onboarding through to close. Your primary objective will be to deliver a top tier client experience that is the perfect combination of transparent, efficient, and caring. This will include proactively managing each client engagement, communication and coordination with third parties involved in the engagement, and managing our support channels.

Your key areas of impact will include :

  • Account management : Manage the client relationship and engagement from onboarding through to completion and any follow up required.
  • Client support : Cover and manage our support channels (phone, email, text, and chat).
  • Product insight : Be the voice of the client. As the primary point of contact for our clients, you will inform product development and enhancements that will make the Doormat experience even better.

While the above will be your key areas of responsibility, we’re a small team and everyone plays a role in running the day-to-day of the business. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in projects related to marketing, finance, company culture, and investor relations, just to name a few. We need someone who can jump into support where needed, even if it’s not expressly outlined in the job description.

  • A problem solver : When problems arise, you thrive. You tackle challenges head on and without hesitation.
  • Driven with an entrepreneurial mindset : You act like an owner (because you are!). You take ownership of your work and do what needs to be done, without ego.
  • It would be a bonus if you have :

  • Experience servicing a part of the homebuying journey (e.g. law clerk, mortgage agent, etc.);
  • Worked at a startup before;
  • Client service and / or sales experience;
  • Experience working with software tools such as GSuite, Slack and Intercom.
