The Energy Solutions Sales Director oversees the sales of the company’s energy solutions and services across Canada. This role ensures consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through strategic planning, team deployment, and effective management.

The director identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to enhance both short-term and long-term sales and earnings .

What you should expect :

  • Drive growth of Energy solutions offerings across Canada
  • Develop, Coach, and Retain talented sales team to deliver revenue and GP budget. Provide performance management if required.
  • Coach and mentor sales personnel in establishing professional relationships with appropriate levels of client decision-makers.
  • With the sales team, create a robust pipeline of major pursuits within the target segments. Track within Salesforce.com.

Coach / mentor team to create robust pursuit plans for each pursuit.

  • Assess team’s sales activities and forecasts to determine sales progress and required improvements
  • Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff
  • Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results
  • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top-echelon decision-makers
  • Educates sales team by establishing programs / seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product solutions / services sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business / financial issues on contracts.

What you should bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of solutions sales experience, including at least three years in a management capacity, or a combination of experience and education
  • Essential knowledge of energy solutions (e.g., EV chargers, solar, battery storage, LED lighting)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven expertise in constructing and managing formal presentations, business plans, and marketing strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to impart knowledge, provide training, and motivate employees
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is an asset
  • Results-driven with initiative and accountability to continuously improve business outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence with and without authority
  • Strategic critical thinker and problem-solver with agility in the face of change

Toolbox :

  • Strong knowledge of Esco’s, MUSH, Commercial, and Industrial vertical markets
  • Ability to coach and mentor the team to develop winning sales strategies for their accounts and opportunities
  • Proficiency with the Salesforce.com platform
