Job description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to lead end-to-end quality assurance for large-scale, complex systems. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of testing—from high-level strategy and planning to the hands-on execution of functional, integration, system, and regression tests. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that system components behave as expected under various conditions, including performance and stress testing, while maintaining a strong focus on data integrity and accessibility standards.

Pay Rate: $327.53-$366.99/Diem

Advantages
- Advanced Technical Scope: Broaden your expertise by validating systems with ThunderClient API tools and complex Oracle backend scripting.

- High-Impact Projects: Support applications used by end users within the broader public sector.

- Cloud Transition: Gain valuable experience supporting the migration of legacy on-premises systems to Azure Cloud.

- Collaborative Leadership: Act as a key advisor to IT and Project Leads, influencing the final acceptance of mission-critical system components

Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Provide expert advice on testing strategies, tools, and resource identification; create detailed test plans and summary reports.

- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, or TestComplete, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

- API & Backend Validation: Execute hands-on API testing using ThunderClient and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data within Oracle databases.

- Accessibility Compliance: Ensure systems meet AODA and WCAG AA standards using screen readers like JAWS and NVDA.

- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and ALM, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

- Performance Testing: Conduct load and stress testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to analyze system scalability and bottlenecks.

- Agile Participation: Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives while maintaining traceability matrices and quality metrics.

Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements gathering, with a deep focus on the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Core Technical Skills: Proven expertise in SQL, XML, and Database profiling (Oracle/SQL Server) for 3/N-tier web applications.

- Automation Mastery: Hands-on experience with VBA/VBS scripting and tools like Quick Test Pro (UFT) and HP Quality Center.

- Data Proficiency: Extensive experience testing and profiling data across XML, CSV, JSON, and Excel files.

- Environment Knowledge: Familiarity with migrating on-premises applications to Azure Cloud and working in HP NonStop (Tandem) environments.

- SDLC Methodologies: Demonstrated success working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

- Soft Skills: Superior analytical skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
