Job Description
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to build and maintain scalable, HIPAA‑compliant data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks to support healthcare AI use cases
- Optimize databases and queries across relational systems and data warehouses to enable low‑latency access for AI applications
- Design and deploy retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems to deliver grounded, reliable insights for clinical and administrative workflows
- Develop agentic AI workflows and NLP solutions to extract value from unstructured clinical data
- Rapidly prototype and demo AI tools using Streamlit and integrate workflows into operational systems using low‑code tools
- Deploy, evaluate, and optimize AI systems using Docker, FastAPI, and metric‑driven performance monitoring to ensure production reliability and minimize hallucinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4–7+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering roles
- Strong, hands‑on experience with retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems
- Advanced Python skills for data processing and API development
- Excellent SQL skills and comfort working in complex, real‑world database environments
- Strong understanding of LLM and Transformer architectures, especially as they relate to long‑context and retrieval‑based systems
- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph or similar)
- Background working with healthcare or regulated data (EHRs, PHI, HIPAA environments)
- Experience deploying and operating AI systems in production
- Comfort collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders, including clinical teams
