The expected hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. This role falls within a broader internal salary band, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance.”
Be a member of the Support Office team and support Village clinical leadership teams in promoting and developing best practice nursing care and clinical services for our residents across both Long Term Care and Retirement Home settings. This will include travel to villages in the GTA as well as from Toronto to Ottawa. You will also be an integral part of the overall continuous quality improvement initiatives for clinical services to help move us forward in putting living first for our residents.
The Regional Director of Clinical Support will be reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services.
The Regional Manager of Clinical Support fosters Schlegel Villages values of building trust, compassion, stability and hope and encourages the growth and development of those they support. You will build internal and external relationships by demonstrating a serving leadership philosophy.
This position will support the full continuum model in our Villages including both Long Term Care and Retirement. The ideal candidate will support clinical teams in both areas of LTC and Retirement in terms of regulations, compliance and better practices.
Certification through the Gerontological Nursing Certificate (GNC) or equivalent qualification in seniors specific care and Point Click Care experience is preferred.

- Established Culture of Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement by monitoring and enhancing the quality of care in LTC and Retirement Homes.
- Exceptional Quality and Compliance Indicators: Ensure high standards of quality and compliance across all Villages.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Education:
- Support the professional practice of Village Leadership Teams as applicable.
- Educate, onboard, coach, mentor, and support Village Clinical Leaders and Team Members, in collaboration with Village Leadership, SVP/VP Operations, and AVP Clinical Support.
- Deliver education aligned with Schlegel Villages programs, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in implementing and revising programs, offering innovative suggestions to minimize resistance to change.
Compliance:
- Address high-risk issues promptly.
- Support Villages in meeting regulatory requirements and upholding Schlegel Village Culture and Values.
- Promote compliance with both regulatory requirements and Schlegel Village standards.
Continuous Quality Improvement:
- Ensure effective operation and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) of the homes.
- Manage CQI and Accreditation programs in accordance with Schlegel Village standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the utilization of quality improvement frameworks through program reviews, audits, and data analysis.
- Monitor and analyze quality indicators and adverse events, conducting quality reviews as needed.
Required Education, Credentials & Experience:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Long-Term Care or Retirement Homes ,as a Director of Care (LTC ) OR Director of Wellness (RH).
- Familiarity with using data to drive decisions and translating policies into practice.
- Experience in gerontology, continuous quality improvement, research, adult learning, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of RAI-MDS/LTCF
- Ability to facilitate learning and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and analytical thinking.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Willingness to travel within your GTA region and across Ontario as required.
