Job description

Breakaway Executive Search is seeking an experienced Non-Asset Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth for our client, an established Warehousing company, in Mississauga, ON.

The ideal candidate is a high-performing sales professional with a strong network of shippers, a proven ability to generate new business, and a deep understanding of third-party logistics and brokerage operations.

Salary : $80,000 / year + commission

Responsibilities :

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries and shipping segments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, supply chain managers, and logistics decision-makers
  • Develop customized transportation and logistics solutions using our non-asset carrier network
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closing
  • Collaborate with operations and carrier procurement teams to ensure seamless service execution
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity tracking in CRM systems
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Stay informed on market trends, freight rates, and competitive landscape
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation brokerage, freight forwarding, or third-party logistics (3PL) sales
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong network within Canadian or North American shipping markets
  • Deep understanding of truckload, LTL, intermodal, and cross-border freight solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently and drive results
