We are currently hiring an experienced City Dispatcher to work for an established Transportation company in the Mississauga area.Shift : 12 : 00pm-8 : 30pm Monday-FridaySalary : $60,000-65,000 / year based on experienceResponsibilities : - Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch drivers according to customer requirements- Monitor driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight- Determine routing issues and resolve as soon as possible- Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses incurred by personnel- Act as liaison between company drivers and customers, communicating with drivers during trips to ensure smooth delivery of freight in a timely manner- Ensure drivers have all necessary paperwork in order before dispatching to client sites, including alternate routes or special instructions for delivery- Dispatch drivers to various locations within the GTA- Other duties as requiredQualifications : - Previous experience as a Dispatcher in the Transportation / Logistics industry- Strong knowledge of the GTA- Strong customer service skills - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Strong knowledge of the rules and regulations of highway trucking- Able to work full-time on the afternoon shiftApply today!By applying to this position you agree to allow Breakaway Staffing to contact you via email, text, or phone call communication regarding this job application.#ADMAccommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
