Job description

The Australia Institute of Future Education (AIFE) is a TEQSA-certified institute of higher education committed to delivering world‑class academic and professional development programs. We connect Australian and international industries, institutions and individuals through skills‑focused initiatives aligned with national and global workforce needs.

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Director of the Direct Entry Program (DEP) to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our internationally recognised English language proficiency pathway. This role is central to ensuring academic excellence, compliance, and student success across AIFE’s standalone DEP centres.

Location : Surrey Hills, VIC

Term : Full Time permanent opportunity, 5 days on site

Website : www.aife.edu.au

Travel : International travel will be required at times

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development, assessment design, and moderation practices
  • Manage DEP teaching staff recruitment, training, and performance
  • Oversee student support strategies to enhance retention and progression
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Represent AIFE / AEMG in academic forums and liaise with partner universities
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across DEP operations

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s or PhD in Education, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics
  • Minimum 5+ years’ teaching experience in higher education
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
  • Deep understanding of global education systems, especially Chinese Australian pathways
  • Experience in academic program development and compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and educational technologies
