Job description
The Finance PMO leads project governance, delivery, and executive stakeholder relationships across a dynamic portfolio of concurrent strategic initiatives, including joint ventures, capital markets, and key financial transformations. Within each project, critical activities—such as Q&A management, document reviews, project plan tracking, and executive updates—require seamless coordination across teams.

As a Project and Program Senior Analyst, you will serve as a core engine of the Project Management Office. You will lead administrative, tracking, and process execution activities to ensure project success. Supporting the execution of the Finance PMO mandate, you will maintain rigorous governance mechanics, leverage workflow automation (Excel data models, Power Automate, Smartsheet), and keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned with aggressive milestones.

Advantages
High-Visibility Corporate Exposure: Gain direct involvement in complex, high-stakes corporate transactions (Joint Ventures, Capital Markets) alongside executive stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Reach: Work closely across specialized corporate streams, including Legal, Treasury, Tax, Controllership, and Technical Accounting.

Modern PMO Tooling: Apply and sharpen your skill set using advanced Smartsheet tools, Excel data modeling, and Power Automate workflow tools.

Autonomy & Impact: Enjoy significant ownership over project governance mechanics in a dynamic environment where your initiative directly drives deal execution.

Downtown Toronto Location: Work within a centralized, flagship Toronto office location.

Responsibilities
Project Tracking & Governance Mechanics
Maintain comprehensive project plans, actively identifying and highlighting critical dependencies, risk registers, decision logs, and action trackers using PMO tooling.

Identify schedule challenges, dependency conflicts, and resourcing gaps, bringing proactive recommendations to project leadership.

Reporting & Documentation
Prepare clear, concise executive status updates, team progress reports, and customized dashboard reporting.

Capture meeting notes, record decisions, and manage actionable tracking items arising from project meetings.

Utilize and maintain PMO automation tooling, including Excel data models and Power Automate workflows.

Due Diligence Support
Coordinate and track Due Diligence Q&A processes, document collection, and tracking mechanics across financial, tax, legal, and operational workstreams.

Cross-Functional Coordination
Track action items across Legal, Treasury, Tax, Controllership, and Technical Accounting, ensuring timely delivery from functional teams.

Coordinate multi-party document reviews and sign-offs across diverse corporate functions.

Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated project coordination or PMO support experience, ideally with direct exposure to Joint Ventures (JV), M&A, or Capital Markets transactions.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and MS Excel (data modeling, complex formulas). Hands-on experience with report automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is highly desirable.

Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to distill complex data into clear, concise executive summaries.

Project Management Capabilities: Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities, evolving timelines, and tight deadlines.

Adaptability & Initiative: Self-starter capable of taking initiative and driving progress even when navigating incomplete or partial information.

Confidentiality: Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, confidential corporate information with discretion.

Global Exposure: Prior experience working within a fast-paced or global enterprise environment is considered a strong asset.

Summary
On behalf of our industry-leading client, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Project and Program Senior Analyst (Senior Project Coordinator) for a 12-month contract in Toronto. This pivotal role within the Finance PMO team will focus on driving governance, due diligence coordination, cross-functional alignment, and PMO process mechanics across high-profile financial initiatives—including new joint ventures (JV), capital markets, and corporate restructuring projects.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMO professional to work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional leads in a fast-paced environment where strategic deal execution is top priority.
