The incumbent acts as the primary expert for heating and hydronics products in Western Canada. They are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the related product lines, their market positioning, and the resulting commercial performance.

They play a key role in aligning sales teams, purchasing, suppliers, and product management to ensure portfolio growth and profitability.

The incumbent will travel regularly to branches across Western Canada to support sales teams and contribute actively to business development. Occasional travel across Canada and to the United States is required to meet manufacturing partners, attend training, and participate in industry events.

The ideal candidate has at least ten years of experience in the HVAC-R industry, specifically in heating and hydronics, gained with a manufacturer, distributor, or specialized contractor.

They act as a technical and commercial reference for sales teams across Western Canada and, when needed, support Ontario teams. They work closely with sales leadership to align supplier strategies with regional business plans.

The incumbent interacts with all stakeholders involved in the sales cycle of heating and hydronics products at The Master Group.

What you will accomplish with us:

- Act as the subject-matter expert for heating and hydronics products for sales teams.
- Advise representatives on optimal technology and application choices.
- Develop and deliver technical and commercial training aligned with business needs.
- Define and lead the product portfolio strategy for the territory.
- Establish and optimize inventory strategies in collaboration with sales and purchasing.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers.
- Participate actively in commercial negotiations and supply agreements with manufacturers.
- Support sales teams in resolving technical and commercial issues related to equipment.
- Contribute to identifying business opportunities and optimizing mechanical solutions proposed to clients.
- Collaborate in developing regional product strategies aligned with sales objectives.
- Develop sales tools, technical marketing material, and product documentation.
- Provide technical training (product, installation, applications).
- Promote solutions across the sales network and customer base.
- Ensure alignment between supplier expectations and regional development plans.
- Conduct ongoing competitive and technological market intelligence.
- Monitor portfolio performance (sales, margins, market positioning) and recommend actions.
