About this role

We are recruiting for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our Corporate IT team, based in Burnaby. The Desktop Support Analyst is a key member of the Helpdesk team, the first point of contact for employees when they are looking for IT support.

Houle's core applications include MS 365, JDE Enterprise One, Unanet, Microsoft SharePoint, Procore, and ServiceNow software.

Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Setup, configure and maintain corporate equipment (workstations, printers)
  • Set up user accounts
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Build an internal knowledgebase with technical documentation
  • Maintain IT Equipment Inventory
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for the IT functions

Your experience and skills

  • 3+ years' experience working in a technical help desk environment
  • Post secondary education in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • A strong aptitude to pick up new technical skills
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment
  • A self-starter, and able to work in a team environment as well as independently
