Job description
Electrical Engineer – GTALocation: Toronto, Ontario
Industry: Manufacturing & Engineering
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Reports To: Manager, Engineering & Quality About the Role Our client in the GTA is looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to take full ownership of technical projects from concept to completion. If you thrive in an environment where engineering, innovation, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration come together, this role puts you at the center of it all. You will lead the engineering and technical elements of assigned projects coordinating with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales to deliver high-performing products that exceed customer expectations. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you will design, test, troubleshoot, support manufacturing, manage risk, and ultimately bring cutting-edge solutions to market. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, improving processes, and being an essential part of an organization’s technical backbone. What You’ll Do
  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams throughout all project phases.
  • Create engineering designs aligned with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal design philosophies.
  • Support design, prototyping, testing, and product development initiatives.
  • Ensure product compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and production teams.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation: design revisions, BOMs, W/Os (SYSPRO), reports, change logs, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate product test samples with regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Deliver regular updates and presentations to management and project stakeholders.
  • Support Sales & Marketing with technical insights and customer-facing presentations.
  • Contribute to project closure activities, including lessons-learned documentation.
About You You are an engineer who loves understanding how things work and making them work better. You enjoy designing, improving, troubleshooting, and collaborating with different teams to bring ideas to life. You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • A 4-year university degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and quality control practices.
  • Experience developing engineering designs, project plans, and technical documents.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong analytical skills able to break down complex problems and provide clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to deliver high-quality work.
What’s In It for You
  • Join a growing organization where engineering excellence and innovation are core values.
  • Own meaningful projects and see your work move from concept through production.
  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional exposure to design, manufacturing, quality, and sales.
  • Career development opportunities with leaders who encourage learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive compensation + full benefits package.
  • Work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to high-impact projects customers rely on.
If you’re an Electrical Engineer who wants meaningful work, continuous growth, and the opportunity to make a real impact this is the role.
