Position Overview
The Document Control and Process Supervisor leads centralized document management and governance processes for a portfolio of major capital projects. This role ensures project documentation is accurate, accessible, and compliant, while driving consistency and alignment across multiple project teams.
Working closely with project stakeholders, the Supervisor establishes and continuously improves document control and governance practices, supporting effective oversight, risk management, and successful project delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving systems, strengthening process discipline, and supporting complex projects at scale.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and govern document control standards across major capital projects, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with project governance requirements.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve document management and control processes to enhance efficiency and reduce project risk.
- Manage, allocate, and develop document control resources across a portfolio of projects, ensuring effective workload planning and team capability.
- Provide oversight of key project control processes, including document control, WBS tracking, invoicing, and platform governance (e.g., SharePoint).
- Coordinate and support risk, compliance, and control activities by facilitating working sessions, conducting compliance checks, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
What it takes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Minimum of four (4) years working in a document control and/or process/change environment.
- Familiar with working in an Engineering and Project & Construction Management environment and the associated terminology and document types.
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint and its administrator functions.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
