We are seeking professional and detail-oriented Gatehouse Security Guards to work at one of our distribution centres in Whitby. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility by effectively screening inbound and outbound trucks at the gatehouse. If you are a highly responsible individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control access to the distribution centre.Process inbound and outbound trucks in accordance with site procedures.Verify driver identification, shipping documents, and delivery paperwork.Conduct inspections of trucks, trailers, and other areas as required by site policies.Check trailer seal numbers and ensure documentation matches site records.Record vehicle, trailer, and visitor information accurately.Perform gatehouse inspections and security checks.Maintain detailed logs and complete incident and occurrence reportsmunicate effectively with site personnel, drivers, and management.Respond to security incidents and emergencies as required.Perform routine patrols of the property when necessary.Ensure all site security, safety, and operational procedures are followed.RequirementsValid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid CPRPrevious gatehouse, distribution centre, warehouse, or security experience is preferred.Strong communication and customer service skills.Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to work independently and make sound decisionsfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent truck traffic.Ability to conduct truck and trailer inspections and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Reliable transportation is considered an asset.Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Pay Range: $18.00Location -100 Nordeagle Ave, WhitbyWe offer:Award winning corporate culture - Canada's Most Admired Corporate Culture 2021!Opportunities for advancement and professional developmentPaid trainingExtended Health and Dental benefits for eligible employees"Disclaimer:Our recruitment and selection process does not involve the use of artificial intelligence or automated decision-making systems.
