Job descriptionClean, sand, and mask varied surfaces (like motors and chassis) to ensure they are ready for a high-quality paint finish. Operate industrial sandblasters to remove rust, grease, old paint, and dirt from metal parts. Manage air pressure and grit flow to effectively clean parts without damaging the metal underneath. Refill abrasive materials in hoppers and monitor levels to keep the cleaning process running smoothly. Manually lift and position heavy equipment onto racks or into blasting cabinets using safe lifting techniques. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning equipment and swapping out worn nozzles. Keep the work area organized and immediately report any safety hazards to the supervisor. Assist with general labor and other tasks as needed to help the manufacturing and logistics teams. Minimum 1 year of experience in metal finishing or sandblasting. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly. Dedication to completing tasks safely and following all safety standards and regulations. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
