Job description
An exciting full-time Machine Builder opportunity is available in Burlington, offering a wage of $40/hour. This essential role in the specialized manufacturing industry focuses on building advanced Vacuum Furnaces for the Aerospace sector. Benefit from consistent straight day shifts (Monday-Friday), 100% employer-paid comprehensive benefits, a 3% profit-sharing program, and double-time pay for weekend overtime as you advance your career as a Machine Builder in Burlington.

Advantages
- Base rate of $40/hr, scaling higher with leadership experience, or CWB Tickets.
- Consistent Shift Schedule: Straight day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with no shutdowns
- Exceptional Overtime: Double time pay for all weekend overtime hours worked.
- Future Leadership Track: Opportunity for development into the Machine Builder Team Lead position.
- Strong Compensation Package: Full benefits, RRSP matching, and 3% annual Profit Sharing after one year.
- Tight-knit team: 3 other Machine Builders and 16 employees total where employee retention is high

Responsibilities
- Assembly and installation of Vacuum Furnaces (a sealed chamber that heats materials to high temperatures in a controlled oxygen-free environment) for the Aerospace sector.
-Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
-Modify and improve existing plans and prints to resolve challenges
- Utilize fabrication skills, including welding and pipefitting, to custom-produce necessary components as required for assembly.
-Operate overhead crane as needed

Qualifications
- Must have Millwright 433A License
- Proven professional experience working as a Machine Builder or Industrial Mechanic.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Strong soft skills and leadership potential: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with rigging and moving large-scale mechanical equipment (overhead crane).
- CWB tickets are an asset
- Previous leadership experience is an asset
