Procurement Manager on behalf of our client in North York, ON. As part of the Finance and Administration team, the Procurement Manager serves as a trusted subject-matter expert and advisor, leveraging competitive sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and data-driven insights to maximize value, reduce total cost of ownership, and mitigate risk. You will play a key role in strengthening procurement governance, driving efficiencies, and providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
- Pay Rate: $40.87-$43.27/hour (based on experience)
- Location: North York, ON
- Shift: hybrid role (2 times in office, 3 days work from home)
- Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 1 year contract, with a possibility of extension based on business needs

Responsibilities: Procurement Leadership & Strategy - Serve as the primary point of contact for indirect procurement activities across PCL, PCNT, and PFSC
- Lead procurement planning activities, including reporting requirements to the company
- Conduct RFIs and RFPs, lead negotiations, and prepare supplier recommendations and approval documentation
- Support sourcing committee activities, where applicable
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyze spend to enable tactical buying decisions
- Maximize procurement efficiency through use of data, systems, and policy compliance
Vendor & Contract Management - Oversee vendor onboarding, performance management, and ongoing supplier relationships
- Manage procurement contracts in line with PCL contract governance standards
- Ensure proper governance, retention, and confidentiality of vendor files, contracts, and business-sensitive information
Processes, Systems & Reporting - Support procurement processes and systems, including KPI development and reporting
- Maintain accurate tracking and documentation for procurement activity and outcomes
- Leverage procurement platforms and tools to improve transparency and control
Training & Stakeholder Collaboration - Develop, maintain, and deliver training materials for company employees on:
- Procurement Directives
- Internal control requirements
- Procurement policies and procedures
- Proactively collaborate with PCNA and PAG Procurement teams to implement new policies, tools, and regional procurement strategies
- Support alignment with global procurement initiatives and shared contracts
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Master's degree is considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement
- 2+ years of automotive or related industry experience preferred
- Experience in process improvement and/or project management
- Experience using the Zycus eProcurement platform is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, and negotiation techniques
- Comprehensive knowledge of business principles and practices
- Strong project management capabilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and M365 Copilot (AI tools)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and manage complex or sensitive situations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direct supervision
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior executives
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and manage contract terms and conditions
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
