MaxSys Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Trailer Mechanic for our client in the Saint John area.The hours for this position run Monday-Friday day shift with occasional evenings and Saturdays.Pay rate:
  • $24-26/hr + incentives with benefits pending successful completion of probationary period
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on trailers—such as engines, power trains, electrical systems, suspension systems, etc.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with trailers and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Conduct inspections to ensure trailers are in compliance with safety regulations
  • Easily identify parts required for repair
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
  • Complete a variety of reports in an organized and timely manner
  • Must be able to perform all levels of maintenance
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
  • Licensed heavy duty trailer mechanic
  • Must have CSA approved steel toe boots and your own tools, other equipment will be provided
  • Five years of experience in the field
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors
