Day in the Life

You will play a key role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently by inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and heavy construction equipment. You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues both in the shop and in the field, including occasional roadside repairs. Preventative maintenance will be a core part of your day to help minimize downtime and extend equipment life, along with completing accurate service documentation to support operational tracking. You will also contribute to general shop operations and provide input on repair decisions, all while promoting and upholding a strong safety-first culture across the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic (or equivalent, including 310T)
  • Registered apprentice close to completing requirements and eligible to write certification will also be considered
  • Valid class 5 Driver's License
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Own tools required
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with roadside service and field repairs
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and digital work orders
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Training
