Shift: Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Friday: 12:00pm to 8:30pm (40 hours/week)

Starting Pay Rate: $40.19/hour

Location: 1855 Champlain St, Dieppe, NB

Description

The Diesel Mechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs assigned on-/off-road and heavy duty equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals.

Responsibilities

-Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
-Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
-Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
-Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers

Education

-Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
-Valid Class 5 class driver's license with a clear driver’s abstract that meets Purolator’s insurance requirements.
-3 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
