Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Licensed Red Seal Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Dieppe, NB. The ideal candidate will have a Heavy Duty Mechanics License and Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving history.

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Dieppe, NB

Pay Range: $40.19/hour ($49.06/hour after 4 months)

Job Description

Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers

Qualifications

Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 preferred)
3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required
Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures
The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems with minimum vehicle downtime
Demonstrated ability to work alone in fast paced environment
A clear driving history and criminal history
