Job description

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production and facility equipment and systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshooting PLC Programs and Programmable Controllers
  • Conduct equipment inspections as required or as outlined by the preventative maintenance schedule to detect and diagnose issues
  • Report detailed records of work performed to Management
  • Contribute to plant upgrades and improvements

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid provincial certification as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or equivalent experience is considered an asset
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate
  • Strong Electrical and PLC experience is essential
  • Experience in the maintenance of overhead cranes is considered an asset
  • Welding tickets considered an asset

  • Available to work shifts on a flexible basis including short notice of overtime
