Job description
Adecco is currently hiring an Finance Administrator for a full-time opportunity in Saint John. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys process improvement, documentation, and working across multiple functions within a finance team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting Department to document full-cycle accounting processes, create standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure consistency across all financial functions. You will collaborate with team members across AP, AR, and GL to build clear, structured documentation that strengthens internal controls and supports compliance.
  • Salary: $22-$23/hour
  • Location: Saint John, NB
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Full-time (temporary)

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with accounting team members to document processes across all functions
  • Create clear and detailed SOPs for employee use and training
  • Analyze and map full-cycle accounting workflows including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Ensure documentation supports consistency, compliance, and strong internal controls
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand each accounting function and translate it into structured documentation
  • Continuously improve and standardize accounting procedures
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and month-end processes
  • Proven experience creating SOPs or accounting documentation
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Accounting certification or designation is an asset
