Job description

Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic - Construction Equipment
Location: British Columbia - lower mainland
Position Type: Full-Time (8-hour shift minimum with overtime opportunities)

We are seeking a Red Seal certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our service team. This role involves repairing, servicing, and diagnosing foundation and/or drilling equipment in both shop and field environments.


Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, repair, and service foundation and rock drilling equipment (drill rigs, tooling, attachments)
· Perform maintenance on major foundation equipment brands
· Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and CAN-bus systems; read and interpret schematics
· Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers
· Adhere to strict safety standards and quality protocols
· Travel as needed for field service calls (occasional overnight stays)

Requirements

· Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification (3rd year apprentices considered)
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience on large construction and heavy-duty equipment
· Experience with blast hole and production drilling is an asset
· Willingness to travel
· Must have own tools
· Excellent troubleshooting, technical skills, and mechanical aptitude
· Commitment to safe work practices
· First-Aid, Forklift, Welding ticket, or other certifications considered an asset
