Job descriptionWork with clients to review drawings, gather feedback, and obtain approvals prior to production. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and shop teams to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized drawing files, manage revisions, and ensure proper version control. Communicate professionally with clients to clarify requirements, discuss updates, and resolve issues. Provide clear explanations of design changes and ensure client expectations are aligned throughout the project. Proficiency with Revit and SketchUp. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering documents. Understanding of steel construction principles and welding practices. Experience producing construction drawings directly from 3D models. Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable interacting directly with clients and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and organization.
Overview
Custom Cubes is looking for a detail‑oriented and technically proficient Drafting / Project Coordinator to support the development of 3D models and construction drawings for our container‑based projects. This role blends drafting expertise with project coordination and client interaction. You will work closely with internal teams, engineers, and fabrication staff while also communicating directly with clients to review designs, manage revisions, and ensure project requirements are met.
This position requires strong proficiency in Revit and SketchUp, a solid understanding of construction and steel fabrication, and the ability to translate design information into accurate, buildable drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models in Revit and SketchUp for container structures and related components.
- Produce clear and accurate construction drawings — including plans, sections, details, and weld callouts.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and integrate them into coordinated project models.
