The Opportunity

Salary Range : $115, 000 - $135,000 Exact compensation may vary depending on the individual experience and qualifications of each candidate. Applicants with greater or less than the minimum qualifications for this posted opportunity may be considered for alternate opportunities.

Kinectrics has a growing portfolio of services supporting the development and deployment of new nuclear power plants and lead the life extension projects of existing nuclear power plants in Canada and around the world. As part of our growing design team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design of electrical systems and / or components both in the traditional nuclear market, and in new initiatives to develop nuclear technology. The successful candidate will be working within a multi-discipline engineering team mainly supporting the design engineering team located in Durham Region. The role is within the OPG Site Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control) section, which is focused on leading projects at various OPG sites, e.g. Pickering, Darlington, etc. The role will be engaged in either refurbishment projects and / or new build projects led by Kinectrics OPG site services team.

To deliver electrical engineering expertise to power generation utilities and other customers. The specific accountabilities of the position are as follows :

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
