Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Scientist Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership in enterprise data analytics, data quality, metadata management, and data governance using Azure Data Platform, Informatica IDMC, SQL Server, and Power BI.
Required Qualifications
9+ years of relevant experience in data science, enterprise analytics, data architecture, or data management.
Extensive experience in enterprise data analytics and data management.
Advanced SQL Server and SQL development expertise.
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Platform capabilities.
Expertise in Informatica IDMC and enterprise data management concepts.
Advanced understanding of data cataloging, data marketplace, metadata, and data lineage.
Expertise in data quality frameworks, profiling, validation, and remediation.
Strong Power BI data modeling, reporting, and dashboard optimization skills.
Knowledge of data governance, data stewardship, and enterprise information management.
Excellent technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data governance, data quality, and analytics initiatives.
Experience establishing data management standards and advising senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Relevant Azure, Informatica, Power BI, or data governance certifications.
Responsibilities
Lead complex data analysis initiatives and establish standards for analytical data preparation, validation, and interpretation.
Provide expert guidance on Azure Data Platform architecture, SQL Server, and enterprise data processing.
Define data quality frameworks, validation rules, monitoring practices, and remediation strategies.
Establish metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging standards across enterprise data assets.
Guide the implementation and optimization of Informatica IDMC capabilities for data governance and data management.
Advise on data catalog and data marketplace design, adoption, and operational processes.
Establish best practices for Power BI reporting, dashboard design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Evaluate data architecture, integration processes, and analytical workflows to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Define data governance procedures covering data ownership, stewardship, quality, classification, and access.
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, business leaders, and governance teams to align data solutions with organizational objectives.
Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex data quality, metadata, and lineage issues.
Develop enterprise standards, reusable frameworks, technical documentation, and implementation guidelines.
Mentor data scientists, analysts, engineers, and data management professionals.
Present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and guide complex data management initiatives.
Ensure analytical and data management practices align with applicable security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
