Job description
Are you interested in joining a mid-sized manufacturing company in the Abbotsford region?

In this role, you will partner with the senior CFO on process improvement initiatives and lead the accounting team to achieve success.

The position is primarily onsite to support and guide the team effectively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the commute, and for those open to relocating, a relocation package is available.

Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to guide business decisions.
- Produce timely financial statements, management reports, and analysis for leadership.
- Support investment, product, and profitability decisions through data-driven financial insights.
- Oversee audits and ensure implementation of recommended controls and process improvements.
- Administer debt management, banking relationships, and compliance with financial obligations.
- Monitor costs, product profitability, and pricing strategies to optimize margins.
- Manage foreign exchange exposure and related financial risks.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare required reports for government agencies and financial institutions.
- Drive the implementation of financial systems, policies, and process enhancements to improve departmental performance.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Partner with executives to align financial strategy with overall business objectives.

Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of controllership or managerial experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
