Why You’ll Love Working Here :
As part of ORBCOMM’s Engineering team, reporting to the Director of NPI and PCB Design, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing innovative IoT hardware to life. This role is based out of our Ottawa, Ontario office and working full-time on-site. With an on-site working schedule, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate in person and build strong connections with our team.
What You’ll Do :
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and written work instructions
- Perform soldering, crimping, and wire routing tasks
- Inspect and test completed assemblies for functionality and quality
- Identify and report any defects or issues during the assembly process and provide ‘lessons learned’ engineering feedback through experience gained during build activity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Able to effectively multi-task and accurately track progress
Who You Are :
You’re a hands-on, quality-driven assembler who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a technical, collaborative environment.
