About You :
The Learning Design Specialist will lead the planning, organization, and development of impactful learning programs. This role is key in creating standardized learning frameworks, building dynamic learning plans, and delivering engaging, effective experiences.
As the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, you will collaborate closely with employees and leadership to drive learning initiatives and support various ad hoc projects.
In this role, you’ll get to experience :
- Stakeholder Consultation : Consult with stakeholders at all levels to conduct end-to-end learning needs analysis, design, development, and implementation of learning solutions.
- Innovative Learning Design : Apply creative approaches to design micro-learning, eLearning, blended learning, in-person training, job aids, and video content that drive engagement.
- Project Coordination and Updates : Keep the team informed of project status, coordinate resources, share lessons learned, and apply best practices to optimize outcomes.
- Assessment and Evaluation Tools : Design assessment and evaluation tools to ensure learning experiences are impactful and meet development goals.
- Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts : Partner with experts and Training Specialists to develop and refine content for instructor-led and self-paced courses.
- LMS Management : Build and maintain the LMS and other online learning environments, ensuring accessibility and functionality for all users.
- Webinar Coordination : Plan, schedule, and facilitate training webinars, supporting various learning needs across the organization.
- Technical Writing and Consistency : Contribute to creating a style guide to ensure content consistency and adherence to branding guidelines.
- Continuous Learning Improvement : Stay updated on instructional design trends and best practices, applying new developments to enhance learning experiences.
- Learning Strategy Development : Develop course design strategies and frameworks aligned with learning needs, objectives, and service level agreements (SLAs), in collaboration with HR.
- Tracking and Reporting : Track and report on training activities to measure program effectiveness, analyze data for insights, and identify areas for improvement.
- Training Metrics and Evaluation : Collaborate with stakeholders to implement metrics that measure training efficacy, learning transfer, and overall performance impact.
- Train-the-Trainer Model : Lead the design and execution of a train-the-trainer model to expand instructional reach and impact.
- Competency Assessment : Assess and monitor the effectiveness of core competencies to align with talent management practices and refresh as needed.
What you bring :
- Post-secondary education in Adult Learning & Instructional Design Methodology.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and proven ability to integrate best practices into learning programs.
- Minimum of 3 years in designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning programs in a business environment.
- Instructional or learning experience design, with authoring tools like Articulate Storyline.
- Experience managing enterprise-wide onboarding and certification programs.
- Skilled in presenting and facilitating sessions for both small and large groups.
- Proficient in video editing software (Flashback Pro, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Agile and flexible, with the ability to work across teams to meet learning needs.
- Strong project management and relationship-building skills
