Your Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a Summer Student to join our Water Team.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical engineering basic design tasks for water projects,

• Support the team in filing and preparation of work, including electrical drawings, control system documentation schedules and lists.

• Help prepare equipment specifications and support the purchasing process through reviews and cross checks

• Coordinating project communications between Project Managers and design staff.

• Attend and prepare meeting minutes.

• May accompany and assist staff on site visits.

• Support the preparation of documentation such as memorandums, reports, proposals, and other communications with a focus on language and grammar.

• Support project teams by organizing technical documents, reviewing project plans, and participating in design coordination activities.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong technical documentation, reporting, and data presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles

• Energetic, with a keen interest in learning about engineering workflows.

• Ability to prioritize and take direction from the team.

Education and Experience

• In progress toward earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, communications, or related field.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
