About Us :

Cavan Hills Veterinary Services is a 24 / 7 veterinary clinic supporting patients through wellness, emergencies, and end of life.

Located in central-eastern Ontario, 20 kilometers southwest of the city of Peterborough, you’re never too far away from all the amenities.

Our Cavan team is seeking an associate veterinarian with varied experience from new grad and up, to join the team. We believe in mentorship so no worries if you don’t have a lot of experience.

This role is flexible in supporting patients from wellness, through emergencies and onward. You choose how much of each area of expertise you would like.

Or maybe a little bit of everything. We are currently rolling out a palliative care initiative for those who have an interest and routinely see exotic animals some as large as tigers and kangaroos.

The successful candidate(s) will work a 12 hr shift, 3 days a week, and benefit from our ER Perks.

What You Bring :

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ yrs of experience!
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving veterinary practices and technologies.
• Capable of handling a variety of cases and situations with composure and professionalism.
• Relationships are important to you. You easily build strong and trusting relationships with clients, so they come back to see you repeatedly.
• Effective communication : You understand the importance of client relationship management and education in promoting animal health and can remain composed during challenging situations.
• Empathy for animals and their owners is a must.
• You work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment- Everyone on the team is important and has a voice.
• Rapid Diagnostic and Decision-Making Skills.
