Job Summary
The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for developing the production plan to satisfy customer demands. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing a weekly production plan and a rolling six (6) weeks plan consistent with the plant capacity.
The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production / capacity plans.
In this role, you are responsible for entering new orders into the schedule and making adjustments to accommodate changes.
When requests for changes are received, you work to respond quickly, knowing that Keilhauer's ability to be flexible and responsive is key to delivering excellence in customer service.
Strong collaboration with Purchasing Agents, Customer Service and other stakeholders will be critical to meeting business goals.

Responsibilities
- Creates a rolling Master Production Plan for all products; utilizes the production capacity, considering any backlog.
- Communicates schedule changes to the Plant Managers, Supervisors, Customer Service and Warehouse personnel as they occur.
- Makes delivery commitments for products, which involves checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.
- Ensures coordination with supply chain to execute production plan on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Checks inventory requirements and schedules production orders based on capacity and parts availability.
- Notifies supervisor / manager about capacity issues that jeopardize company initiatives.
- Interfaces with Purchasing in order to resolve material issues.

- Ability to fabricate and assemble production schedules effectively
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary diploma, preferably in Business Operations, Supply Chain or related field
- Previous scheduling experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment an asset
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with other technical programs; ERP experience an asset
