Job description
We are actively recruiting a highly motivated and versatile Construction Project Manager for a growing contractor. This unique role blends traditional project management with active business development. Focusing heavily on commercial renovations and tenant improvement (TI) builds, the successful candidate will not only steer construction projects from concept to completion but also play a critical role in expanding the company's market footprint. If you are a driven leader who excels at operational execution and client acquisition, this dual-focus position is an excellent opportunity to accelerate your career.

Advantages
Competitive Base Compensation: A solid starting salary ranging from $75,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.

Lucrative Bonus Structure: A robust performance-based incentive of 7% of net profit, calculated and paid out bi-annually (every 6 months).

Professional Progression: Clear pathways for career advancement and the opportunity to take on increased responsibilities within a growing firm.

Dynamic Work Culture: A collaborative, team-oriented environment that values support and mutual success.

Dual-Skill Development: Uniquely position your career by gaining high-level exposure to both hands-on project delivery and strategic business development.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Project Execution & Operations

Direct and oversee full-cycle commercial renovation and TI projects from initial mobilization to final handover.

Formulate and control project timelines, financial budgets, and material/labor resources.

Manage on-site operations, providing clear direction to trades, vendors, and suppliers.

Guarantee strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards, building codes, and contract specifications.

Track site progress continuously and deliver transparent, timely reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Anticipate potential roadblocks and implement effective risk-mitigation strategies.

Market Expansion & Business Development

Actively source and pursue new commercial construction opportunities in the market.

Collaborate on the creation and submission of competitive bids, estimates, and project proposals.

Cultivate and sustain strong networks with property owners, consultants, and strategic industry allies.

Act as a brand ambassador by attending relevant trade events, site tours, and networking functions.

Work closely with senior leadership to design growth initiatives and identify untapped market verticals.

Client Relations

Act as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring seamless communication throughout the duration of the build.

Drive exceptional client satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships and secure repeat business.

Facilitate contract negotiations and manage scope discussions with professionalism and tact.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in construction project management.

Leadership Capability: At least 1 year of direct leadership experience running a project completely from start to finish (no specific project size or scope required).

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial construction methodologies, regulatory standards, and building codes.

Soft Skills: Top-tier problem-solving abilities paired with strong negotiation and team-leadership skills.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating industry-standard project management platforms (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera).

Assets: Previous experience handling estimating or proposal writing is highly desirable. Professional designations such as a PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are considered a strong plus.

Summary
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial-minded construction professional who thrives both on the job site and in the boardroom. By blending the operational oversight of commercial TI projects with the strategic pursuit of new business, this position offers a rare chance to directly impact a company's bottom line while reaping the financial rewards of that success.
